The service

PDFStrong provides free online tools for working with PDF files. The tools are offered “as is” and “as available”. Features may change, be improved or be removed at any time without notice.

Results and backups

We work to make every tool correct and describe its method and known limits on its page. Merging and splitting copy pages and do not carry over every document-level feature, such as bookmarks or form data. Always check the result before you rely on it, and keep your original files: the tools never modify them, but we cannot guarantee that a result is suitable for your purpose. Do not rely on the results for legal, medical, financial or safety-critical decisions without checking them.

Your documents

Your files remain yours. Because they are processed in your browser and not sent to us, we do not receive them, claim any rights in them or take responsibility for them. You are responsible for having the right to use any document you process, for keeping copies of results you need, and for not using the tools to remove protection from documents you are not allowed to unlock.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site for anything unlawful;
• interfere with or disrupt the site or its hosting, for example by sending automated traffic that burdens it;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site’s systems;
• use Unlock PDF on a document that you do not own and are not allowed to open, or to bypass someone else’s protection;
• copy the site’s content or design and present it as your own.

Advertising and third parties

The site is supported by advertising provided by third parties. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or for the practices of advertisers. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising may affect your data.

Intellectual property

The site’s name, design, text and software are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the tools freely, including for commercial work, but you may not reproduce the site itself.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
