Reorder PDF Pages

Put the pages of a PDF in a different order. Every page is shown as a thumbnail: move it earlier or later, send it to the start or the end, or reverse the whole document, then save the new PDF. The file never leaves your device.

PDF only, up to 200 MB. One file at a time.

Your files stay in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, saved or logged.

How Reorder PDF Pages works

The PDF is opened in your browser and each page is drawn as a small picture, one after the other, so a long document stays responsive while the grid fills in. The label under every thumbnail shows its new position and the page number it had in the original, so you always know which page is which.

When you save, the tool builds a new PDF and copies the pages into it in the order shown. Pages are copied, not redrawn, so text stays selectable and images keep their original quality. Every page is used exactly once: reordering never loses or duplicates a page. To repeat or leave out pages, use Extract PDF Pages instead.

Document-level features such as bookmarks and form data belong to the whole original and are not carried over to the reordered file.

How to use it

  1. Select a PDF file, or drop it on the area at the top of the tool.
  2. Wait for the thumbnails to appear, then use the arrows under a page to move it: to the start, one position earlier, one position later, or to the end.
  3. Use Reverse the order to flip the whole document, or Reset to go back to the original order.
  4. Choose Save the new order and download the result.

Limits and good to know

  • The PDF can be up to 200 MB, and the page grid handles documents of up to 300 pages. For a longer document, type the order in Extract PDF Pages.
  • Password-protected PDFs and PDFs with editing restrictions cannot be processed. Remove the protection first, which requires the password.
  • Bookmarks, form data and links that jump to another page of the same file may not be carried over to the new document.

Frequently asked questions

Does reordering change or damage my original PDF?

No. The original is only read. The pages are copied into a new document in the order you chose and you download that, so the file on your device is exactly as it was.

Can I move a page far away without clicking many times?

Yes. Each page has buttons to jump to the start or to the end of the document, in addition to the arrows that move it one position at a time. Reverse the order turns the whole document around in one click.

Can I also delete or rotate pages?

Not here, to keep this tool simple. Delete PDF Pages removes pages and Rotate PDF turns them. You can run the tools one after the other on the file you download.

Why do I see page numbers instead of thumbnails?

Thumbnails are drawn one by one after you add the file, so the first pages appear before the last ones. If a thumbnail cannot be drawn, the page number still identifies the page, and the order you save is not affected.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The document is opened and edited by your own browser and nothing is sent anywhere. You can verify it in your browser’s developer tools: the Network tab shows no upload while you reorder.
