Delete PDF Pages
Remove blank, duplicate or unwanted pages from a PDF and download what is left. Type the pages to delete, such as 2, 4-6, and the tool tells you how many pages will remain before it does anything. The original is never changed and nothing is uploaded.

Your files stay in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, saved or logged.
How Delete PDF Pages works
The PDF is opened in a background process of your browser. A new document is created and every page except the ones you listed is copied into it, in its original order. Pages are copied, not redrawn, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality.
The deleted pages are not hidden, they are not written to the new file at all. That is why deleting pages from a large document gives a smaller file, and why the removed pages cannot be recovered from the result. A page listed twice, or inside two overlapping ranges, is deleted once.
You cannot delete every page: the tool refuses and says so, because the result would not be a document. Bookmarks and form data belong to the whole original and are not carried over to the new file.
How to use it
- Select a PDF file, or drop it on the area at the top of the tool.
- Type the pages to delete. Write a page as 5, a range as 2-6 and “to the last page” as 8-, separated by commas.
- Check how many pages will be deleted and kept, then choose Delete pages.
- Download the new PDF. Choose Change the options to delete different pages from the same file.
Example
| Pages to delete | What happens |
|---|---|
| 2, 4-6 | Deletes 4 pages, keeps 6 pages: 1, 3, 7–10 |
| 1, 1-2 | Deletes 2 pages, keeps 8 pages: 3–10 |
| 10- | Deletes 1 page, keeps 9 pages: 1–9 |
| 1-10 | Refused: that would delete every page. |
| 12 | “12”: page 12 does not exist, the document has 10. |
Limits and good to know
- The PDF can be up to 200 MB. The whole document is held in your device’s memory while it works.
- Password-protected PDFs and PDFs with editing restrictions cannot be processed. Remove the protection first, which requires the password.
- At least one page must remain. Bookmarks, form data and links that jump to another page of the same file may not be carried over.
Frequently asked questions
Is the original PDF changed?
No. The original is only read. The tool builds a new document without the deleted pages and gives it to you as a download, so the file on your device is exactly as it was. Keep it until you have checked the result.
Are the deleted pages really gone from the new file?
Yes. They are not hidden or covered, they are not copied into the new file at all, so their text and images cannot be extracted from it. If you need to hide a part of a page rather than remove the whole page, deleting is not the right tool.
How do I write the pages to delete?
Separate items with commas. A single page is 5, a range is 2-6, and everything from a page to the end is 8-. For example 1, 4-6, 10- deletes page 1, pages 4 to 6 and page 10 to the last page. A page that does not exist, or a backwards range such as 5-2, is reported before anything runs.
Why is the new file not much smaller?
Because the pages you kept may still carry most of the weight. Some PDFs share one list of fonts and images between all of their pages, and a page cannot be copied without that list. Deleting pages always removes their own content, but shared resources stay.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The document is opened and edited by your own browser and nothing is sent anywhere. You can verify it in your browser’s developer tools: the Network tab shows no upload while you delete pages.
